Welcome to Translating Japan's Official WebsiteWho is Translating Japan? My name is Steve Wallace and I am the Founder of Translating Japan. For some people, exercising is relaxing and they enjoy every second of doing it, to others that sort thing is working on their car, or reading a good book. But to me, studying Japanese, doing translations or interpretations is the thing that can really turn a bad day into a good one. I'm very passionate about Japan, the culture and the language. And we all know that people who do what they love excel at it. I give it my very best on every translation, big or small, because I know how important some of these projects can be and a sloppy translation can cause a lot of problems for everyone that's involved. Plus, I really do enjoy working with the Japanese language and have fun turning one language into another and keeping the meaning of the words as well as possible. I have had little formal education in Japanese, I only finished up to Japanese 202 in college, but I lived in Japan for 2 years from 2003-2005. During that time I was a Christian missionary, so it was my job during that time to talk to people in Japanese all day long. Through that experience, I believe that I am able get away from the textbook translations that a lot of translators give and I am able to give a more colloquial and clear translation. Thank you very much for visiting my website and I hope you will be able to you my skills to help further your goals. SpecializationsMy specializations are IT/Computers, religion, slang, and medicine. If you are looking for someone to translate documents that don't fit into those categories, go ahead and e-mail me a sample and I'll let you know if I think I am capable of translating it. I take pride in the qualityof my work, and I promise I will not accept a project that I know I will not be able to perform with flying colors. Please send me a sample of the project you would like me to complete and I will give you a quote. I am able to be reached by e-mail swallace35@asiamail.com or you can post a note on the website forum and I will get back to you as soon as I can. Thank you. |
